jam sessions vs. training session.. wats the difference?

It's best to have a leading person, to function as a guide, in a training session. For this, seniors can discuss among themselves on who should guide the group. There's also a good reason to do this. Firstly, newcomers to parkour can learn how to train properly and what they have learned, they can apply it during their individual training. Also, this approach will be much more fun.

Essentially, warm-ups and stretches should be done extensively to avoid injuries. Physical conditioning for strength, power, agility and all those stuff can be included in the 2 hour duration.

After all that, then we can all begin with specific exercises like precisions, vaults, rolls and so on, which is done in repetition. It is by this approach that newcomers can progress much faster and become more comfortable training alongside seniors.

jam session and training sessions should b different or the same?

.. i think training sessions should b the way shaun suggested, n jam sessions are.... erm... a time when ppl meet in groups to do parkour / freerun n at the same time share skills...? hmm...

what i like to do is to do my own thing, my own movement within groups.. n i like to observe ppl's movement n create other possibilities in moving. when ppl seek advice on how to a move i would gladly help out if i'm able...

my understanding of GROUP training is this:

..............

one person guiding the training.. training should have the warm ups/strecth/conditioning/basic parkour/and flow..

................ and jam sessions are more like 'ppl doing their own movement...'

.... just my point of view............

r u comfortable n satisfied with our jam/training session right now? or do u prefer something like the parkour generation training?
and as for jam sessions, 'like the 3Run family jam' (u dont train, u just do yr own movement, but u can still learn n share skills n advice to others..)

pls share yr views.........
